A short about a quiet refuge shattered by corporate enforcement, forcing a hero to rise up.
Winterfall is an AI-assisted short film created as part of a 48-hour RunwayML GEN:48 Aleph edition challenge.
The goal was to produce a complete short-film under extreme time constraints, owning the full pipeline from concept and generation through editing, sound design, and final delivery.
Centered on contrast, calm craft and community interrupted by occupation then resolved through a restrained response rather than spectacle. The goal was authored tone under speed: clear beats, controlled escalation, and a finish that lands emotionally without overexplaining.
I locked the emotional arc first (refuge, disruption, response, quiet aftermath), then generated coverage to support clarity and pacing. Curation focused on readable silhouettes in snow and low light, with editing and sound carrying cohesion so the climax feels intentional and the ending stays restrained.
